You Can Change ONE Person’s Life—Forever

Think your story doesn’t matter? Let me tell one.

A pastor’s daughter often hesitated to share Jesus with others—until she felt a nudge to speak to a stranger. A woman ready to end her life who moments before had prayed a simple request:

“God, if you’re real, send me an angel to stop me. Someone who will hug me as a sign.”

Want to guess what the pastor’s daughter did next? She hugged the woman and that simple interaction led her and her entire family to trust Jesus. And now, their telling a story of how He transformed their lives through ONE person.

Kickstart Your GO Day Prep

Sharing Jesus doesn’t have to be complicated. With a little preparation and a willing heart, you can step into life-changing conversations with confidence. Follow these four simple steps to get ready for GO Day.

Step 1

Pray

Before any conversation, start with prayer. Ask God for wisdom, courage, and guidance. Prayer prepares your heart and opens doors for divine moments.

Step 2

Prepare Your Story and The Gospel

Your story is powerful because it’s real. People connect with authenticity, so take time to reflect:

  • BEFORE JESUS – What was your life like
  • ENCOUNTERING JESUS – How did you meet Him?
  • AFTER JESUS – What has changed?

Step 3

Start the Conversation

A simple “Hi” can open the door. Whether it’s a coworker, a stranger, or a neighbor, small moments can lead to big impact.

Step 4

Celebrate

A simple “Hi” can open the door. Whether it’s a coworker, a stranger, or a neighbor, small moments can lead to big impact.

A Miracle on GO Day

For 61 years, she had only been able to take a few steps—with assistance and strong painkillers. But on GO Day, everything changed.

Two friends approached her and offered to pray. What happened next was nothing short of miraculous—after the prayer, she no longer needed her crutch. With no pain, she walked across the entire square, completely healed!

This is the power of faith and the Holy Spirit at work. When we GO, God moves!

CONVO STARTERS

Starting the Conversation—It’s Easier than You Think

One conversation can change everything. If sharing your faith feels intimidating, start small—every interaction matters.

  • SMILE & SAY HI – A warm greeting can break down barriers.
  • OFFER KINDNESS – Hold the door, lend a hand, or simply be present.
  • ASK QUESTIONS – “What gives you hope?” “Can I pray for you?”
  • LISTEN & SHARE – Look for moments to naturally share your story. Some will say yes to Jesus. Some won’t—yet. Your job is to share; God does the rest.

“I told her about how much Jesus loved her and explained the whole Gospel. I lead her to the Lord and she said she felt like something was being lifted from her. It’s people like her, why I believe personal evangelism is so important.”

FAQs

We hear you! Many of us feel the same way—starting conversations can feel intimidating, especially when we prefer our own company. But here’s what we’ve learned: you don’t have to feel brave to take the first step.

Instead of focusing on “your” ability, lean on the Holy Spirit. You’re not doing this alone! A simple act of faith—saying “Hi” or offering to pray for someone—can open the door in ways you never expected.

For some of us, it helps to start small—engaging with someone we already know, sharing online, or even just smiling and acknowledging people we pass by. Over time, these small steps build courage.

God doesn’t need us to be outgoing—He just asks us to be willing. Trust Him, take a step, and watch how He moves through you.
You’re not alone—many of us have felt this way. Fear doesn’t just disappear overnight, but we’ve seen it fade as we step out in faith. The more we face it head-on, the more we realize that God is already at work, preparing our hearts for these conversations.

Time and again, we’ve encountered people at just the right moment—people who had been searching for answers, praying for a sign, or even meeting other believers in the days leading up to our conversation. When we take a step of faith, God meets us there and equips us with the words we need.

Overcoming fear isn’t instant, but it gets easier with each step forward. The key? Start small, trust God, and take action—ONE conversation at a time
Many of us have found that the best way to begin is by taking a small step.
One simple way? Ask someone if you can pray for them. Try this: As you go about your day, when you see someone, take a moment to approach them and say, “Hey, this might sound a little crazy, but is there anything in your life I can pray for?”

You’d be amazed at how many people are open and searching for answers.
Another great way to start is by sharing your own story. Many of us write down a few key points ahead of time so we feel more prepared. You might start a conversation by asking, “Can I tell you about the best thing that ever happened to me?”

The more you practice, the more natural it becomes. Don’t be afraid to ask God for courage either.
